Anders Broström
Scrum master & Testare
Working at Avance Metering since 2006
Office: Östersund

What is the most important characteristic of a Scrum master?
I think the most important characteristic is to be a resource for the team members and to ensure an open and creative climate where everyone can do what they do best, while always focusing on moving the work forward.
In my role as a tester, I contribute by lifting my gaze a bit from the technology and also looking at the customer's needs and the usability of what we are developing.

How do you keep skills and knowledge up to date?
It could be attending a webinar, or reading about interesting and relevant topics on the internet. Then there is the fast evolution of the IT industry with new tools and processes that you need to keep up-to-date with.

What do you think is unique about Avance Metering as a company?
We have extensive experience in our industry and many of our products have been on the market for over 25 years. At Avance Metering, we are passionate about developing smart solutions that make our customers' lives easier.

How do you contribute to the success of Avance Metering?
I have long experience in the industry and very good knowledge of our products, and I work hard to ensure that we deliver high quality. I work with our testing processes and make the final checks that everything appears in order before the products are shipped out.

What benefits do you see in our solutions for end users?
If you take our Collection Manager system as an example, it's a vendor-independent system that makes it easier for our customers to be more flexible, given that we support a variety of meter vendors and technologies. And as I said earlier, we've been in the business for a long time and can help with many issues that customers encounter.

What do you do in your free time to relax from work?
In my spare time, I like to go to our cabin in the west of Jämtland, where it's easy to relax with skiing and other excursions. Otherwise, I'm very interested in sports and like to watch and practice different sports.

What is your best energy saving tip?
My best energy saving tip is not to buy unnecessary things that you might think you need but are likely to just be left lying around..
